Hey everyone!! 2019 was one hell of a year. I’m not kidding when I say that it felt like many years in one. It feels weird to enter a new decade. Is this post late? I might be the last one posting a 2019 recap. Anyways, this is just a short recap (no, I’m not procrastinating).

The sky was so beautiful in 2019

Favourite post from my blog:

+ a day in my life (ramadan edition) ft. Bayance

I love this post because it was my first ever collab post on my blog and it was with Bayance!! And also, because I enjoyed writing about my ramadan routine.

Favourite post in my feed:

+ Answering your questions about Islam (Bayance)

I love how she took the effort to answer questions about Islam. I was glad to find someone who’s ready to speak up about Islam.

+ stop taking life serious(ly) (Chloe Luna)

This was a beautiful post. It expressed some thoughts I had in mind that I wasn’t able was to express until I read this post.

Favourite bloggers (discovered):

Hannah @ the striped plaid

I’ve came across Hannah’s blog and I decided it’s one of my favorite from the first post I read.

Jasmin @ the writer of letters

Jasmin just started blogging on November but I feel like she’s been blogging for a year or so.

Sophie @ Me and Ink

I love love love her blog. I’m so in love with lifestyle and bookish blogs cause they’re just so inspiring.

I’ve uploaded a total of 6 videos last year but I would’ve had more if only I wasn’t procrastinating.

Favorite video:

This is my favorite video in my channel and honestly, my favorite sketch so far. I took almost two hours to get this done and I can’t be more proud of myself. This is like a big achievement for me.

Artists Discovered:

+ Zhavia

Zhavia must be the most talented artist at her age. I seriously love her songs, it’s hard to describe how unique her songs are.

Favourite songs—

Deep Down

+ Ali Gatie

I didn’t hear of Ali Gatie until last year and I thought he was new in the music industry. The first song I heard was It’s you. But most of his song are just so heartbreaking.

Favourite songs—

It’s You

I actually rediscovered hrvy (as you might’ve known from my previous post). I’ve heard personal years ago but back then I wasn’t so into pop. But I guess, last year I’ve been listening to different artists.

Favourite songs—

Million years

Told you so

Favourite songs of the year:

+ I Don’t Care by Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber

I had this song streaming 24/7 for the whole year the moment it came out. It’s such an attractive song.

+ Lover album by Taylor Swift

Ahh- I really love this album. Taylor Swift keeps blowing my mind by her amazing songs.

+ Look at her now, Lose you to love me by Selena Gomez

I was so happy to see Selena coming back after a long with two amazing songs.

+ We Made It by Louis Tomlinson

This song is so catchy! I got the lyrics stuck in my mind from the first time already. I’m so excited for Louis’ new album coming up this year.

+ Flames by Zayn & R3HAB & Jungleboi

I remember waiting two weeks for this to come out. It took a really long time and the teasers were getting annoying and I was getting impatient. But honestly, this song is just cool and the music video will be out on this month!! I love how Zayn made many collabs last year.

+ A Whole New World by Zayn & Zhavia

This was another song that’s been playing all day and night. When Zayn sang the chorus, I seriously felt like crying. I don’t know how to describe that or why I felt like crying but I guess his stunning voice caught me.

Other Favourites

I haven’t read much books last year unlike the previous years which is a bit depressing. But I’ve started reading Count of Monte Cristo which is a classic novel and I’ve somehow reached halfway— big thing for me cause I don’t read classics.

Favourite books read—

+ Turtles all the way down by John Green (This is my favorite book everrr)

+ Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury (This wasn’t like any of the other books I read. I love it but the ending was a bit of a cliff hanger)

And that’s a wrap? I have a strange motivation to improve myself and try new things! What about y’all?

  2. Farenheit 451 was actually banned in many countries including the USA because it involved burning books including religious and holy scriptures.

That’s probably why it eneded on such a cliff hanger becasue the author never got the chance to write a second one because the first was banned? That’s my conspiracy theory.

    It’s an awsome book though!

      1. It’s an amazing book!
We studied it last year in school and one of my friends and I went and watched the movie because why not?

IT’S AMAZING if you ever get the chance I suggest you watch the movie. I believe it’s similar t the book but there are probably some majour differences.
