10 things to do when you’re bored

Heyy buddies!! How’re you doin’? I hope everything is okayyy. Yesterday, it was raining heavily and ahhh I love the cold weather that comes after the rain. And today we had a holiday from school which was a good thing cause it rained today as well!!! I actually don’t understand the weather here.

Before we get into the post, I’d like to let you guys know that I uploaded a new video on YouTube!! It’s actually my art journal prompt for April and I’m really proud of how it turned out. This is the first time I shoot something like this so there can be many little mistakes. It’ll mean so much to me if you guys just check it out and tell me your opinions.

Anyway in this post, I’m gonna be sharing some of the things I usually do when I’m bored. I started this long ago but just had time to complete it recently. Okay, so I won’t include stuff like reading a book, watching a movie or a youtube channel. I mean, come on we already know that, right? Instead I’m gonna share stuff I do which is slightly different than usual.

10 Things To Do When You’re Bored

1. Go through Pinterest or any inspirational site

Sites like Pinterest are great sources of inspiration. What I love about Pinterest is that you can save whatever you want and get back to it later and download them as well. Go through some quotes, journal pages or maybe some tips. Or you can just make boards and organize your interests. Either ways using Pinterest is fun.

2. Read an article on We Heart It

I’ve been using ‘we heart it’ for a long time now and I can say that there are many changes year after year. Anyway, articles was introduced last year and honestly I found that it resembled blogging a lot. Articles are actually blogs written by people in different channels which you can join. Channels are like categories. There are thousands of articles and you’ll get to like them eventually since they are about common interest and celebrities. What I disliked was the fact that you can write an article only after reaching a particular number of followers. I didn’t like this cause I don’t care about my account there, I just use it to get pics and read articles, obviously.

3. Write a bucket list / set goals

If you found yourself having loads of free time not doing anything then writing down a bucket list can make you find ways to get rid of your boredom. You can set goals to make use of your free time.

4. Search for ideas for a blog

I do this mostly and even write the ideas I got so I won’t forget them. Actually, it’s fun. I love planning, searching for ideas and noting them down. There are days when I feel really excited to write a post or to read posts.

5. Use your journal

Your journal can be used for many stuff, from tracking down tasks, setting up goals to doodling and much more. Well, you can find other ways to use to it as well.

6. Listen to podcasts

Well, I wasn’t really so into this podcast thingy. But after reading Grace’s post: ‘5 podcasts to listen to when you need inspiration’. I tried to give it a try. I listened to ‘I’m a fighter’ with Jamie Grace and it was really inspiring.

7. Watch bujo or art journal previews on YouTube

I love watching these vidoes. They’re so aesthetic and inspiring as well. It actually motivates me to improve my drawing and designing skills. They are my main source of inspiration.

8. Do some journal prompts

I love answering self prompts. It reflects my thoughts directly in paper plus I’m being truthful with myself. I did that once but still look forward to turn it into a habit.

9. Edit pictures

I do this all the time. I use many apps to edit my pics and at times I’ll learn new ways to edit. Sometimes I would edit pics which I won’t be posting just cause it’s fun. You won’t believe me if I said I have loads of pics to post on instagram but my feed needs a proper theme.

10. Discover new books

Searching for new books to read or new releases is actually a fun thing to do for me. I get to know about many books and getting to choose which book I’m gonna read this year.

That’s all for my little list! I hope you guys enjoyed it and don’t forget to watch my little video. Till next time.. see ya!!
