World Mental Health Day: Pick me up Playlist Tag

Damn! this tag was pending from a long time XD I promised myself to post it after my mid terms exams but I forgot about it.

Anyways, I’ll be doing all the tag blogs that are pending on my list from the last few months. I thought of writing this one first since I love talking about songs that make me happy. First of all, I’d like to thank little Crystal for nominating me in literally all the tag blogs.

  1. Link back to ‘Pick Me Up Playlist’ creator – Laura Spoonie
  2. Tag the blogger who nominated you
  3. Mention how music helps your Mental Health
  4. List 10 songs that you would consider to be a part of your ‘Pick Me Up Playlist’ (optional: mention a little bit why each song is on your list)
  5. Tag 10 other bloggers to join in with the ‘Pick Me Up Playlist’ Challenge

And now let’s hop into the post!!!

How does music helps my mental health?

Music is a huge part of me. Music defines me and my feelings when I can’t define them myself. But that doesn’t applies to all the songs I listen to. But every song have an amazing meaning.. pain, love, hope and regrets. Honestly, I’m more into songs with loud music or loud voices which enables me listen to the singers’ feelings. Music helps my mental health by making me believe that I’m not alone when I’m sad or when I feel hopeless.

My 10 songs:

#1: Undo by Sanna Nielsen
Many might not be familiar with that song. I found this song in some fan-made music videos in instagram and the only thing that caught me was the song. The lyrics are so beautiful and makes you think of yourself.

#2: Hall of Fame by The Script ft.
The first time I listened to this song was two years ago plus my best friend was the one who made me listen to it. The moment I listened to this song I immediately fell in love with it.

The first lyrics goes like this:

You could be the greatest

You could be the best

You could beat the King Kong running on his chest

You could beat the world

#3: Alone by Alan Walker
Alan Walker must be the best when it comes to touching hearts. This song helped me get over my thoughts of being lonely and left out. Plus, I lOVE Alan Walker’s music they’re soooo good.

#4: Stressed Out by twenty one pilots
Once you hear this song, you can’t get it out of your mind. The main lines that got stuck in my mind is:

I wish we could turn back time

To the good old days

When the mama sang us to sleep

But now we’re stressed out

Damn this can be so relatable. Like, I can remember my mom forcing me to go to bed early and I used to hate that but now.. I stay up all night and need even more sleep.

#5: King by Lauren Aguilina
This song touched my heart and believe me, when I get sad this song will be the first one I need to listen to. Just like the first song in this list, I’ve found this song in a fan-made music video in youtube, the fan-made video I found was more popular than the original song. But listening to the song with that video made me cry, the video was emotional and the song adds to it.

#6: So much more than this by Grace VanderWall
This song talks about our society, how people look at us, what do they think of us, how they treat us.

#7: Fly by Anne Leblanc
Honestly, I didn’t like this song so much. I mean, yeah the lyrics are nice and all but it wasn’t as good compared to other songs. Anyways, keeping that aside, I find this song inspiring and motivating in a way.

#8: Youth by Shawn Mendes ft. Khalid

Omgg! This song is so inspiring and beautiful. Plus the original music video makes it even better.

#9: Believe by Shawn Mendes
Shawn Mendes must be a legend cause he knows how to touch my heart and motivate me when I’m down.

#10: 7 years old by Lukas Graham
Now, this song is the real thing. I can still remember how I cried when I listened to this song when I was in a road trip with my family and how I felt a little pinch in my heart. It was two years ago when I heard this song for the first time and it was unexpected for me to get effected by a song.

aaaand that’s it for now!! Till next time… See ya later!!!
