Hey everyone! Just by reading the title, you can know what’s the post about. So with no more introductions, let’s hop into the post!
I’m sure that all of you are not familiar with this. So basically, we, muslims, have two festivals in a year (Eid-Ul-Fitr and Eid-Ul-Adha). As I said earlier in my previous blog posts, Eid-Ul-Fitr comes after the holy month of Ramadan (9th month of the Islamic calendar) . Whereas, Eid-Ul-Adha comes in 10th of Dul-Hijja (the 12th month of the Islamic calendar). There are many difference between these two Eids, like the day before Eid-Ul-Adha is called day of Arafah (which is today) and in that day, we are supposed to day to fast if we’re not performing Hajj (the greater Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca, which takes place in the last month of the year and which all Muslims are expected to make at least once during their lifetime if they can afford to do so). The other thing I love about Eid-Ul-Adha is that it lasts for 4 days unlike Eid-Ul-Fitr, which lasts for 3 days only.
I don’t really have many plans for Eid to be honest. I might consider going out with my family or friends to have some fun before school starts. Eid is the best time of the year, it somehow gives me a happy and calm feeling.
My mom’s birthday
So my mom’s birthday falls on 22nd of August which will be the second day of Eid. I don’t know if it’s only me, but when it’s my mom’s birthday we have a lot of fun. So, this year, I suggested going out and eating in a restaurant for celebrating her birthday. But for my mom she doesn’t really like celebrating her birthday but I convinced her so she seems to like this idea :))
That’s it for the post, hope you enjoyed reading! Much love.
